Also in August, "I Remember When..." a Memoir Short Story Workshop will be held. To capture the stories from Dorchester County residents, DCA is pleased to support this three-week workshop to help write a personal short story. Participants can be any age, with any story and if it takes place in Dorchester County even better! These short memoir stories will be shared in a reading in the oral/storytelling tradition at DCA in a program in the fall. They will be recorded along with a photo portrait done of each of the participants. Support will be given to guide participants through the writing and editing process.
The Vienna session will be Vienna Town Hall; Tuesdays, Aug. 16, 23 and 30, from 1-3 p.m. The second session will be held at Church Creek Firehouse; Thursdays, Aug. 11, 18 and 25, from 3-5 p.m. Free and open to the public.
