Shirley M. Hanf

CHURCH CREEK - Shirley M. Hanf, 77, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007, at the Mallard Bay Care Center in Cambridge. She was born in Baltimore on Feb. 21, 1930, and was a daughter of the late Michael and Edna Marie Blizzard Robinson.

She graduated from Western High School in 1947. For a number of years she had worked as a secretary at the Stieff silver company in Baltimore as well as Baltimore Gas & Electric.

She and Mr. Hanf moved to Church Creek after he retired. They enjoyed boating, fishing and crabbing. Mr. Hanf passed away on March 3, 2006.

She had been in failing health since last November and had been at the Mallard Bay Care Center since April.

Survivors include a brother, Earl H. Robinson and his wife, Maxine R. Robinson of Baltimore; one niece, Lynn M. Robinson of Baltimore; and a nephew, Michael L. Robinson and his wife, Anna Tsao of Baltimore. She is also survived by very close friends William and Betty Harrison of Church Creek.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge with the Rev. A. Delmer Willey Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Baltimore.
