George Jackson (center) poses with representatives of U.S. military services with one of his Christmas scrolls to be sent to military personnel overseas. “I just do it to raise morale, and let the service personnel overseas know that people care about them,” Mr. Jackson said. George has been creating and sending his scrolls for 25 years. This stop on the scroll tour, where the students of Choptank Elementary were given the chance to sign, was the last stop before the scrolls would be mailed this weekend.
