Sandra Lee Marshall Barone went to her final resting place on Saturday, October 1, 2022.
She was born on August 15, 1939 in Crisfield, MD to Elsie V. Marshall Smith and Sidney L. Riggin.
After spending most of her childhood in Crisfield, Sandra moved to Baltimore with her mother and step-father and attended Eastern High School. She worked most of her adult life at various companies in a secretarial capacity and retired due to health reasons in 2006 from D.M. Taylor in Salisbury.
Sandy enjoyed dancing, golfing, and crafting. She was a regular at Clifton Park Golf Course in Baltimore. Frank and Sandy traveled from Baltimore to Cincinnati, OH and Birmingham, AL due to Frank's employment before returning to settle back in Salisbury.
She is survived by her husband, Frank R. Barone of Salisbury; daughter, Sheila Mayes Washburn (Jim) of Cambridge; son, Bryan A. Mayes (Sue) of Belair; step-daughter, Bernadette Barone Morrison of McKinney, TX; step-son, Christopher Barone of Youngstown, OH; eight grandchildren, Joseph Carmen Petro, Elizabeth Petro Harrison, Tyler Mayes, Cody Mayes, Cameron Mayes, Kristen Morrison Mitchell, Sean Morrison, and Logan Morrison; six great-grandchildren; and many, much loved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and step-father, Fredrick Milton Smith, she was predeceased by her siblings, Marshall English, Florence English, Gloria Adkins, Ralph Marshall, Norma Jean Marshall Hall, Mary Lou Marshall Rivera, and Charles Marshall; and a son-in-law, Kelly J. Morrison.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank Dr. Yogesh Vohra, the staff of Signature Healthcare at Mallard Bay, and the fabulous Judith Leatherbury Brown for their love, care, and attention to her over the last months.
Services will be private.
