SALISBURY - Sandra Eloise Sheppard, daughter of the late Doris Sheppard Cannon passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, at Deer's Head Coastal Hospice Lake in Salisbury.
Ms. Sheppard was born on Feb. 1, 1945, in Finchville.
She was educated in the Dorchester County Public School system, graduating from Mace's Lane High, Cambridge in 1963.
Ms. Sheppard worked as a nursing assistant at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, Del., Easton Memorial Hospital and Mallard Bay in Cambridge. In her earlier years, she was employed by Dupont.
She loved cooking, listening to gospel cds and watching her soap operas on television.
At an early age, she joined Mt. Hope United Methodist Church in Finchville, where she was a member of the youth choir, Sunday School and the Methodist Youth Fellowship.
She is survived by three daughters, Jolynn Adams of Linkwood, Cassandra Adams Stanley and Deborah Adams of Cambridge; a son, Roland Adams of Cambridge); 17 grandchildren, Robert Jones of Preston, Kevin Sampson of Hurlock, Cashane Pierre of Baltimore, Wesley Adams of Federalsburg, Wilbert Wilson of Easton, Tromar Mapp of Hurlock, China Matthews of Cambridge, Dehavion Wilson of Cambridge, Allen Mapp of Hurlock, Tyericia Farrare and Lamont Farrare of Vienna, Jasmine Adams and Jermaine Adams of Salisbury, Ryan Adams of Linkwood, Ariyana Jenkins of Hurlock, Charese Mitchell of Cambridge, and Jazmine Smith of Wilmington, Del.; two great-grandchildren, Mykeria Carroll and Jada Smith both of Baltimore; a son in-law, James Stanley; longtime companion, Jerome Tilghman of Cambridge; a godchild, Sandra Dotson and a number of cousins.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, at Henry Funeral Home, PA in Cambridge, with a viewing two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow in Federal Hill Cemetery in Federalsburg.
