Ruth Wheatley Landon, 96
TANGIER, VA. - Ruth Wheatley Landon, 96, wife of the late Frank Landon, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at the residence of her daughter in Middletown, Va.
Born on Dec. 17, 1911 on Tangier, she was the daughter of the late George Allen Wheatley and Sadie Wheatley. Mrs. Landon was a homemaker and a member of the Swain Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Bob Landon and his wife Miki of Onancock; a daughter, Brenda Hall and her husband Jim of Middletown; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted from the Swain Memorial United Methodist Church on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008. The Rev. John R. Jones, Sr. and Mr. Strickland Crockett officiated. Burial followed at the Sunnyridge Memorial Park near Crisfield.
Memorial donations may be made to the Swain Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 199, Tangier, Va. 23440.
Arrangements were handled by the Williams Funeral Homes.
