WILMINGTON, Del. - Rozelle (Uncle) Jenkins Sr., passed away Nov. 15, 2006, at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Del.

He was born May 29, 1961, in Dorchester County, son of Frederick Jones and the late Reva Jones.

He attended Hurlock Elementary School and North Dorchester High School.

In his early childhood, Uncle, as he was called, went to Mt. Calvary UM Church. In his later years he attended Full Baptist Church in Wilmington.

Mr. Jenkins worked on numerous jobs during his lifetime, such as an attendant at Personal Express, both the Pepsi and Coca Cola Bottling Companies in Salisbury. He was an independent associate with Pre-paid Legal Services for two years. At the time of his death he was employed at the Port of Wilmington in New Castle, Del.

He is survived by his companion of 14 1/2 years, Geneva; two daughters, Genissa and Genasia; two sons, Rodzelle and Arlando; his father and stepmother, Mary; stepfather, Raymond Thomas; five brothers - Frederick (Tanya), Brian (Roslyn), Dinez, Shelton and Larry; seven sisters - Brenda Brummel, Elsie, Vontay, Karen, Damita Sinfield (Curt), Dana Williams (Jason) and Shirllen Jones (Tony); 10 aunts - Dorothy Jolley, Norma Mae Jenkins, Mary Jane Frazier, Viola Jenkins, Beverly Jenkins, Barbara Jean McKnight, Constance Elliott (Frederick), Francine Harris (Everett), Claretha Nichols (Darcy) and Katherine McSwain (Lewis); five uncles - Roland, John, Keith, Gregory and Willie. He was also survived by three great-aunts - Dorothy Fletcher, Rosalee Sampson (Arthur) and Anna Mae Dockins (Clifton); two great-uncles, Gilbert (Bertina) and Ide; a close friend and cousin, Wysetta Warren; also Carolyn Slacum and Tony Jones; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday at the Bennie Smith Funeral Home in Hurlock where family and friends may call Friday from 3 to 5 p.m., and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
