Rosalie 'Rosie' Price
TRAPPE - Rosalie "Rosie" Price, 70, passed away at her home on Friday, March 23, 2007.
She was born Dec. 6, 1936, in Trappe, the daughter of the late Alex H. and Bertie Wheatley Green. She was the granddaughter of the late Samuel H. and Rosa Lee Wheatley.
Mrs. Price was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1955. For many years Rosie devoted herself to caring for others and doing private duty sitting until 1982. At that time she took over the Green's Nursing Home in Trappe until retiring in 1996 due to health problems. She resided there until her death.
She enjoyed baking and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed crocheting. She was well known for her baby sweater sets.
Mrs. Price is survived by her son, Marvin J. Price and his wife, Kay of Secretary; a sister, S. Diane Willey and her husband, Richard of Bozman; two grandchildren, Justin J. P rice and Megan M. Price, both of Secretary; two nephews, Troy A. Pearson and his wife, Renee of Cordova and Chris O. Pearson and his wife, Helene of Kelsey, Calif.; a great-niece, Catherine N. Pearson of Cordova; three great-nephews, Shawn A. and Ryan C. Pearson of Kelsey, Calif. and Samuel W. Pearson of Cordova and her special companion, Tippy, her dog.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. in Easton, where friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be at Springhill Cemetery.
