Ronald Lee Brinn, 72

PARKSLEY, Va. - Ronald Lee Brinn, 72, husband of Geraldine Brown Brinn passed away at his residence on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007.

Born on Aug. 28, 1934 in Wilmington, Del., he was the son of the late Vernon O. Brinn and Bertha Finch Brinn. Mr. Brinn was a retired self-employed business owner, some of which included a shoe repair business and furniture store in Parksley. He was also a former employee of the Kiptopeake Ferry Corp. and a crane operator for a steel company in Wilmington.

He attended and was a faithful member of the Faith Assembly of God Church in Leemont, Va. and served in the Delaware National Guard. Hobbies included gardening, woodworking, playing and teaching guitar and gospel singing.

Other than his wife, survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Brinn Henderson and husband Bruce, and Lucy East Huffman and husband Danny, all of Parksley; a sister, Doris Brinn Elliott of Onancock ; a brother, Howard Vernon Brinn of Newark, Del.; two grandchildren, Olivia Allison Smith and Eddie Ray Allison, Jr.; two step-grandchildren, William Haddock and Richard Huffman; two great-grandchildren, George Edward Smith, IV and Bradleigh Lola Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Brinn Socorso; two half-sisters, Thelma Kline and Lena Golden; and a son-in-law, Kevin East.

Funeral services were conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home on Sunday, Aug. 12. The Rev. Mark Howard officiated. Burial followed in the Liberty Cemetery in Parksley.

Memorial donations may be made to the Faith Assembly of God Church, 22593 Leemont Road, Parksley, VA 23421 or to the Hospice of the Eastern Shore, P.O. Box 316, Parksley, VA 23421.

Arrangements were handled by the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home.
