Rod Cofield

SALISBURY - Rod Cofield died on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, surrounded by family. Born in Roxboro, N.C., was the son of the late Walter and Lillie Cofield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Dale, John and Eric Cofield; a brother, Joseph H. Cofield; and a sister, Edna Rue Chalkley. The U.S. Army and his sales career allowed him to travel the world. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joyce Cofield; a son, Roderick Cofield; a daughter, Paige Cofield; a sister, Betty Lou Ward; a brother, Sterling W. Cofield; several nieces and nephews; and his daughter and grandson in England, Samantha Willington and Jake Broughton. A funeral service was held on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at Nelsons Memorial United Methodist Church in Hebron. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
