Robert Scott Miller, Jr. (Scott),
Robert Scott Miller, Jr. (Scott) passed away peacefully on May 11, 2024, due to long-time health complications. He was the loving son of Robert S. Miller, Sr. (pre-deceased) and Virginia (Ginny) Weimer, devoted fiancé of Mary Stalnaker, loyal brother to Diane Baxter (Tom) & Glenn Miller (Ginger), loving Uncle to nephews, Brandon & Patrick & niece, Shelby Miller.
Scott grew up in Landover Hills, MD on Cooper Lane, where he was active in Boys Club, Cub Scouts & church. He had many fond memories of growing up there & still has childhood friends. In his teen years, the family moved to New Carrollton, MD, where he graduated from Parkdale High School & earned his Associate's degree from Prince George's Community College.
He was a wonderful friend to many and still had friends from childhood and high school. Scott was kind, thoughtful & had a big heart to help others. He was an avid Redskins fan, in addition to being a fan of the former Washington Senators & now, Nationals baseball. Scott loved to make people laugh & was always joking or talking about his favorite movies & TV shows. He was very good with dates & knowledgeable of all sports. After working 30 years in the computer field, he retired to Ocean City, MD to help take care of his Mother.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Funeral arrangements were as follows: A viewing was held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Mayo United Methodist Church, Edgewater MD, with service immediately following at Noon.
