CAMBRIDGE - Robert Earle Nash Jr., 56, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2006 at his home.

Born on June 18, 1950 in Baltimore, he was the son of Rose Mary Nash Hamilton of Easton and the late Robert Earl Nash Sr. He was also the stepson of the Morgan J. Hamilton.

Bobby, as he was known, was a graduate of Queen Anne High School.

For most of his working career he was a correctional officer for over 20 years and had worked in Jessup, the Governors Mansion, Annapolis Capitol, Church Hill and at Princess Anne, from where he retired.

Mr. Nash had worked parttime at the Comfort Inn, Easton.

He enjoyed wood working, antique cars and motorcycles. He was an avid fisherman and also liked to crab and hunt.

Surviving is his mother, Rose Mary Nash Hamilton of Easton; two daughters, Cathy Meredith and her husband, Steve of Milford, Del., Beth Smith and her husband, Clint of Church Hill; a sister, Patricia A. Jones and her husband, Alfred of Cambridge; two brothers, Thomas William Nash Sr. and his wife, Elizabeth Ann of Easton, Donald Joseph Nash and his wife, Teresa M. of Church Creek; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Inurnment services will be held privately.

In lieu of flower, memorial offerings may be made in Bobby's memory to the Robert E. Nash Jr. Memorial Fund, c/o The National Bank of Cambridge, P.O. Box 550, Cambridge, MD 21613.
