The chairman of the Community Relations Commission in Cambridge, William P. Chaffinch, has announced his group will meet with members of the Maryland Commission on Interracial Problems and Relations on March 12, here in Cambridge.

The chairman of the commission’s housing committee, Mrs. Montgomery J. Shroyer, in a letter to Mr. Chaffinch, has raised several questions regarding the upgrading of housing here.

* The muskrat season, scheduled to close March 15, is likely to be extended to March 23 to compensate for the freezing weather which trappers have experienced this season.

A delegation of some six trappers appeared before the County Commissioners to ask them to arrange for a lengthening of the season.

State Sen. Frederick C. Malkus, who was contacted by the County Commissioners’ office, said he had already spoken to the director of the Maryland Department of Game and Inland Fish and learned that the season will likely be extended for an additional week.
