DELMAR - Regena Schell Midgette died Jan. 2, 2017 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. She was born into a family of 10 children; her parents, William Wolf Hupke and Mary Elizabeth Hupke, preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Hupke. A 1979 graduate of James M. Bennett High School, she worked for many years in the food service industry. She is survived by her husband, John G. Midgette, IV; a son, John G. Midgette, V; sisters, Babette Hupke, Cynthia Widdowson, Andrea Pusey, Caren French and Lara Powell; brothers, Kevan Hupke, Erich Hupke and Victor Hupke; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
