TYASKIN - Preston "Steve" Stephen Richardson died on Friday, May 4, 2018, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Preston and Mildred Layfield Richardson. He served with the rank of Private 1st Class with the U.S. Marine Corps, where he received his honorable discharge after being wounded during the Vietnam War. He spent most of his life as a truck driver and worked as waterman. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sarah Richardson; three sons, Preston S. Richardson III, Thomas P. Richardson and J. Russell Richardson; a daughter, Lisa V. Richardson; six grandchildren; two great-grandsons; a sister, Mary Ellen Sawant; and two nieces and a nephew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Charlotte Piper and Lanta Tyre. A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment was at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury.
