Preston Elwood Keene Jr., 52
EASTON - Preston Elwood Keene Jr., passed away on Friday, May 23, 2008 at the Talbot Hospice House in Easton.
Born May 16, 1950 in Royal Oak he was the son of Lucy C. Keene and the late Preston E. Keene Sr. He was also known as "Fuzzy."
He received his education through the Talbot County Public School System. He joined Royal Oak Church at an early age and in 1999 was baptized at the United Missionary Baptist Church in Cambridge under the ministry of the Rev. Andrew R. Tilghman Sr.
Preston was employed with Bramble Construction and Ward Components. He enjoyed music, fishing and most of all, his mother's cooking. He also was an avid sports fan.
He is survived by his mother, Lucy C. Keene; four daughters, Kim B. Harris (son in-law, Curtis) of Odenton, Tramaine, Ashley and Alexis Hines, all of Stevensville,; two granddaughters, Kiara M. Harris and Marshay C. Hines; two sisters, Barbara J. Keene of Easton and Yvonne E. Miles of Salisbury; a brother, Larry E. Keene of Preston; an aunt, Alphonso Kellum of Cordova; an uncle, Elbert R. Thomas of Easton; eight nieces; a nephew; three great-nephews and a number of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his father; two brothers, William and Lindsay Keene; a brother in-law, Larry J. Miles Sr., two aunts and four uncles preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Union Baptist Church, 233 Glenwood Ave., Easton with a viewing two hours prior to the services. Burial will follow in Royal Oak Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by the Henry Funeral Home, PA in Cambridge.
