Man is wanted
Wanted by the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office for Violation Of Probation on a CDS: Possess - Not Marijuana charge, Desmond J. Hudson was last known to be in the Federalsburg, Cambridge and Baltimore areas.
He is a black male 5’8”, 167 pounds, 27 years old, with black hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on his face, neck, left wrist and right wrist.
“If you know or have seen Desmond please contact our office at 410-822-1020,” a statement from the Talbot Sheriff’s Office said.

Fatal collision
On July 4 at 11:34 p.m., Wicomico County Sheriff Deputies and EMS were dispatched to the area of 10985 Riverton Road for a motor vehicle collision. First responders arrived to find a single vehicle rollover accident with ejections.
The driver, 18-year-old Nicholas James Hicks of Mardela Springs, was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. Three passengers were also injured in the collision. All of the passengers were transported by EMS for treatment. Two of the three passengers remain hospitalized with serious injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) is investigating the collision. Preliminary findings show that none of the occupants were wearing seat belts and speed was believed to be a factor.
The investigation is still open.

Narcotics
Over the course of the last month, the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Community Action Team (CAT) conducted a drug investigation into controlled dangerous substances activity at a residence located in the 7400 block of Canal Street Willards. It was determined to be the residence of Amanda Betts, 38, and Davel Thomas, 41.
On July 2, a search-and-seizure warrant was executed at the residence that resulted in the recovery of heroin, suboxone, and alprazolam. Items utilized in the distribution of CDS was also recovered from the residence to include a digital scales and packaging material.
Amanda Betts was determined to be the tenant of the residence and was arrested and charged with maintaining a common nuisance distribution, maintaining a common nuisance for CDS administration along with other related CDS charges. Davel Thomas was charged with possession of heroin, suboxone and alprazolam.
