• Cambridge Rescue Fire Company (RFC), Ambulance 16-1, Dorchester County Emergency Medical Services responded for a residential rescue Monday morning during the wind storm that struck the area. A tree fell into a house in the 100 block of Country Path Way.
Minutes later, RFC got a second call for a tree falling on a house, this time in the 2900 block of Woods Drive. Crews were checking for injuries at press time.
• On Monday morning, the St. Michaels Volunteer Fire Company reported that units from Talbot and Dorchester were on location at the Harbour Inn for a working building fire.
• Also on Monday morning, Station 6 from Hurlock responded to multiple trees down in the Waddels Corner and Pine Top Road areas. Motorists were advised to use caution.
• The Maryland State Police - Easton Barrack reported several poles, wires and trees down at 4705 Old Trappe Road near Backtown Road. Telephone wires down and trees were down at American Corner Road between Auction Road and 2 Johns, as well as Williamsburg Church Road and Preston Road.
• The Talbot County Sheriff’s Office reported that since 1998, NCMEC has operated the CyberTipline, a place where the public and electronic service providers can report suspected online and offline child sexual exploitation. The millions of reports made each year uniquely situate NCMEC to identify trends and create prevention resources to address the evolving needs of kids and teens online.
NetSmartz is NCMEC’s online safety education program. It provides age-appropriate videos and activities to help teach children be safer online with the goal of helping children to become more aware of potential online risks.
