CAMBRIDGE — On Oct. 30, members of the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office executed a Search & Seizure Warrant at 401 Robbins St., Apt. 2, Cambridge. The target of the investigation Howard Lee Chestnut Jr., 41 was located on the front step of the residence upon arrival.
The search of the suspect and residence revealed numerous items of paraphernalia including digital scales, several unknown pills, Ecstasy/MDA and Crack Cocaine.
The suspect was charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, possession of ecstasy/mda and 2 counts of possession of paraphernalia.
He was ordered held without bond.
Fire under investigation
CAMBRIDGE — On Nov. 7 at 7:38 a.m. 25 Rescue Fire Department firefighters responded to a fire at 901 Roslyn Ave. to a two-story wood frame/masonry single family dwelling owned by Michele VanDyke-Hayden.
Discovered by a passerby it took 30 minutes to control and the estimated damage to structure was put at $8,000 and contents $2,000.
Originating in the utility room the preliminary cause is under investigation.
