CAMBRIDGE — There is only one thing better than Christmas; it is Christmas twice in one year. Pleasant Day tried to “cool down” by celebrating Christmas in July that included Christmas trees, wreaths, Christmas dinner, decorating sugar cookies provided by Bay Country Bakery, Carol singing with Randy Tucker, Christmas bingo, Christmas decorations, Christmas crafts, making Christmas cards with assistance of Hyatt employees, everyone painted a ceramic Christmas tree to take home, a framed picture of themselves with a giant candy cane and daily exercising to the 12 Days of Christmas. A real highlight was a live Christmas performance by Maxine and the Showtime Entertainers. The Women of Beckwith United Methodist Church paid for an Arby’s Friday discounted supper for all the participants, filling the stockings with fruit and a small gift for each participant. What a month this has been. Thanks to everyone that helped make Christmas in July a cooler month and a lot of fun.
