CAMBRIDGE — Members of the Mace’s Lane Community Center Steering Committee met with planners at the boarded-up Mace’s Lane School last month as they continued their work to develop a Mace’s Lane Community Center Museum.

The Steering Committee is commissioned to re-purpose the former Mace’s Lane High School building into a center that fosters inclusive community participation and provides an environmentally-friendly facility for arts, education, recreation, celebration and locally-based human services.

The project is being funded, in part, by a grant from the Maryland Heritage Areas Association for an interpretive plan and design for exhibits.
