LANCASTER, CA - Patricia A. Bailey, died on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008. Pat's husband of 44 years, Raymond N. Bailey, died on Monday, Nov. 17, 2008. Pat was born on Sept. 11, 1945 in Cambridge, the daughter of Grace I. and J. Alfred Phillips. Ray was born on Jan. 20, 1937 in Talonge, France, the son of Anny M. K. and Virgil O. Bailey. Ray was head of maintenance at Lockheed in Palmdale, Calif. for 31 years. Pat has lived in California since 1961, but always enjoyed her trips back to Maryland to visit with her classmates from the Cambridge High School class of 1963, as well as other family members and friends. They were preceded in death by both their parents; and a son, Nicholas Bailey. They are survived by a brother, Ralph A. Phillips and his wife Nellie, of Fernendina Beach, Fla. Also surviving are two nieces, Janice M. Phillips, of Deland, Fla., and Terry L. Nicholson of Stafford, Va.; and three nephews, Anthony G. Gorski, of Centreville, William C. Gorski, of Severna Park, and J. Robert Gorski, of Seaford, Del. Funeral services for Pat and Ray will be 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2008 at the Joshua Memorial Park Mortuary, 808 E. Lancaster Blvd., Lancaster, CA 93535. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pat and Rays memory to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Courts, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
