SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING

The National Weather Service in State College PA has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...

South central Centre County in central Pennsylvania...

Northern Huntingdon County in central Pennsylvania...

* Until 345 PM EDT.

* At 255 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Warriors

Mark, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage

to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...

State College, Boalsburg, Stormstown, Warriors Mark, Pine Grove

Mills, Ramblewood, Birmingham, Franklinville, Mcalevys Fort,

Whipple Dam State Park, Rock Springs, and Tussey Mountain Ski Area.

This includes Interstate 99 from mile markers 54 to 59.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay inside a well built structure and keep away from windows.

...TORNADO WARNING IS CANCELLED FOR NORTH CENTRAL GREENE COUNTY...

The storm which prompted the warning has moved out of the area.

Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT

Friday for a portion of southwest Pennsylvania.

...TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM EDT FOR SOUTH

CENTRAL WASHINGTON COUNTY...

At 257 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado

was located 10 miles south of Washington, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without

shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.

Damage to roofs, windows and vehicles will occur. Tree

damage is likely.

Locations impacted include...

Deemston, Marianna, Scenery Hill and Amity.

Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built

building away from windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home,

or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect

yourself from flying debris.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.

* WHERE...East Branch Brandywine Creek below Downingtown.

* WHEN...Until late this evening.

* IMPACTS...At 6.0 feet, Open adjacent land next to the creek floods.

At 8.0 feet, Dowlin Forge Road begins to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

- At 2:45 PM EDT Friday the stage was 7.4 feet.

- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

ending at 2:45 PM EDT Friday was 7.4 feet.

- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 7.5

feet late this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage

late this afternoon or this evening.

- Flood stage is 7.0 feet.

- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

7.2 feet on 03/01/2021.
