...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 PM EDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN MORRIS COUNTY...
At 315 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Morris Plains,
or over Morristown, moving southeast at 25 mph. This storm has
a history of producing some areas of wind damage.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Law enforcement.
IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Morristown, Dover, Madison, Florham Park, East Hanover, Lincoln Park,
Boonton, Wharton, Rockaway, Morris Plains, Mendham, Mountain Lakes,
Chester, Victory Gardens, Parsippany, Lake Telemark, White Meadow
Lake, and Hanover Township.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move
indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
