CAMBRIDGE – The Vikings’ top students joined The Ella B. Walter Chapter of the National Honor Society at Cambridge-South Dorchester High School on Oct. 24.
President Natalie Woolford welcome the audience, followed by Secretary Zy’aye Bell’s introduction of NHS officers. The officers each gave a brief description of the qualities expected in a member of the society, with Woolford speaking on scholarship, Bell on Service, Treasurer Isabelle Hughes on Leadership and Historian Te’kai Drummond on character.
Principal Jerome Stover gave brief, but inspirational remarks on the students’ success, and closed with one of his favorite sayings: “If no one else told you today, Mr. Stover loves you!”
Senior members of the Honor Society are James Adams, Jayonna Austin, Zy’aye Bell, Aniya Carr, Te’Shar Drummond, Myra Lehn, Jack Marshall, Raschid McMillan, M’Kya Molock, Mackenzie Morrissette, Trinity Murray, Amijah Nutter, Jocelyn Rafael, Giovanny Ramirez, Luke Reinbold, Wilhelm Reinbold, Gavin Sapulos, Natalie Woolford and Kassidy Young.
Junior inductees were Aliza Adams, Isabel Barr, Aryan Bashir, Jayda Cooper, Te’kai Drummond, Ivonne Ferrer, Ja’Bria Harris, Rodney Harris Jr., Nathan Huber, Isabelle Hughes, Christina Hyde, Laila Insley, Cheyenne Jackson, Evan Kozak, Kimir Lake, Alan Limon-Sanchez, Landon Ludolph, Javier Luna-Clemente, Darnell Mattews Jr., Daniel Palamaras, Madison Robbins, Kennedy Roberts, Emma Robinson, R’Miya Rosado, Camryn Russum, Tyler Sears, Alexus Stanley, Le’Asia Todd and Nia White.
Senior inductees were Mia Jackson, Elaina Jones, Megan Ryan and Lily Spedden.
