CAMBRIDGE – The City of Cambridge and their partners invite all residents, businesses and stakeholders to the second Community Visioning Meeting on April 6, to provide input and prioritize ideas for the Cambridge Neighborhood Revitalization Plan (the Plan) for the Historic Pine Street District.

The meeting will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bethel AME Church, 623 Pine St. and will provide Cambridge residents and stakeholders the opportunity to weigh-in on the draft strategy tools and recommendations that will be part of the Plan.

The City and their partners gathered important feedback at community meetings in November and February, and it helped shape the types of tools recommended. These tools and strategies are also based on best practices from other communities around the country. The dialogue will continue at the April 6 meeting to move everyone closer to having a revitalization plan for the neighborhood.

The City of Cambridge and their key partners, including Habitat for Humanity Choptank, Dorchester County, Salisbury University, the State of Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), and Shore Rivers are working with a consultant, LSA, to design the strategies and frame them to be implementable in Cambridge. LSA specializes in local economic and housing market analyses, comprehensive planning studies, housing needs assessments, and policy evaluation and development.
