Students from North Dorchester Middle School National Junior Honor Society[/caption] HURLOCK — On Sept. 21, the 8th grade members of the North Dorchester Middle School National Junior Honor Society served a breakfast for staff in the school as a show of appreciation for their hard work and to celebrate the first 30 days of school. The school day started off early for the 8th grade NJHS volunteers. They arrived at school before 6:30 a.m. to decorate and set up the breakfast goodies, wanting to begin their service year on a strong note. The breakfast was supported by local businesses, including Bay Country Bakery, Food Lion, Walmart, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Lucy’s Florist Shop. Staff members commented, “Awesome!,” “The breakfast was excellent!,” and “Those NJHS kids are so thoughtful!” The NJHS considered their mission accomplished and the school year is off to a great beginning.
