To kick off the Holiday Season, the North Dorchester Middle School Chorus lifted their voices for the hundreds gathered on the steps of the circuit court in Cambridge. The chorus, under the direction of Kevin A. Lewis, sang three holiday selections. The Mayor of Cambridge, Victoria Jackson-Stanley was on hand to greet the community along with emcee Troy Hill of MTS Broadcasting, City Manager Susan Tripp-Jones and County Council President Ricky Travers. After the chorus finished their selections, Santa Claus greeted the crowd presented the Christmas tree. The NDMS Chorus will sing for the lighting of the Christmas tree in East New Market on Dec. 11 at 6 pm. The Dorchester Banner highlighted the event in the Wednesday edition of the paper.
