SALISBURY - Naomi Lee Weitzel, formerly of Salisbury and Ocean City, died Tuesday, June 19, 2018, in Kingsville, Texas. Born in Princess Anne, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. Larmore and Elva Alice Larson Larmore.
She attended school in Somerset County and later graduated from business school. She and her husband owned and operated Weitzel's Restaurant in Ocean City. She was a longtime member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Salisbury where she was active in the Opportunity Shop. She was also a volunteer with the Junior Board at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
She is survived by three children, Charlotte W. Esteves of Kingsville, Texas, Brenda A. Weitzel of Houston, Texas, and Gordon M. Weitzel Jr. of Salisbury; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Melvin Weitzel; a son, Charles "Chuck" R. Weitzel; and a grandson.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Entombment followed at Wicomico Memorial Park.
