Nancy McCready Forrester

ANTREVILLE, SC. - Nancy McCready Forrester died Sunday, April 3, 2016 at her home. She was born in Marion, Md. to the late Horace and Nora Elliott Windsor. Mrs. Forrester was twice married, first to the late Benson Lloyd McCready and second, to the late David 'Tojo' Forrester. She owned and operated Forrester Café for 20 years. Mrs. Forrester was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and attended Mission Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald; and two sisters, Phyllis and Ellen. Mrs. Forrester is survived by her two sons, Benson "Ben" McCready of Mt. Wolf, Pa., and Berry McCready and his wife Elizabeth of Dover, Pa.; two daughters, Jo Anne McCready of Iva, and Vickie McCready and her husband, Thomas Raver of York, Pa.; two brothers, Jerry Windsor of Crisfield, and Billy Windsor of Marion; a sister, Gayle Harris of Marion; four grandchildren, Shawn McCready, Shane McCready, Nicole Topper, Ryan Marie Stone; and six great-grandchildren, Tyler Lusk, Makenzie Lusk, Eden Edwards, Caitlin McCready, Kilian McCready, and Riley McCready. The family received friends from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2016, in Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services began at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tony Beauford officiating. Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Abbeville is assisting the Forrester family.
