CAMBRIDGE - Mildred JoAnn Neal Cephus, 35, of Cambridge, passed away on Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, at Mallard Bay Care Center.

Born Oct. 9, 1971, in Cambridge, she was the daughter of Johnny Weeks and Shirley Holland; the adopted daughter of the late, Roy and Katie Neal.

She was educated in the public schools of Dorchester County. Mickey, as she was affectionately called, was employed with various companies in the area. Her last place of employment was Kentucky Fried Chicken in Essex, as a prep worker.

She was a member of Anointed One Ministries under the leadership of the Revs. Lemuel and Lavone Chester.

Her hobbies were reading poetry, painting and singing.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Cephus of Cambridge; children, Gary Holland of Hurlock, Brianca Neal of Snow Hill, Abraham Cephas of Snow Hill, Darlene Holland of Cambridge, A'Keem Cephas of Hurlock, and Antonio Holland of Preston; Siblings, Anthony Cephas of Hurlock, Louella Cephas of Salisbury, Andrew Cephas of Denton, Charles Holland of Cambridge, Wanda Neal of Cambridge, Annie Mae Pinder Major of Greenbelt, Johnnie Weeks Jr. and Heather Weeks both of Cambridge; a sister-in-law, Theresa Cephus; aunts and uncles, Isaac Holland of East New Market, Marie Holland of Salisbury and Elizabeth Holland of Salisbury, and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special friend, Amelia Peterson of Hurlock.

In addition to her adopted parents, a nephew, Michael LaRon Smith, preceded her in death.

Services will be held 7 p.m. on Sunday, at Henry Funeral Home, P.A., with a viewing one hour prior to the services. The Revs. Lemuel and Lavone Chester will officiate.
