EASTON — The Mid-Shore Board of Realtors® (MSBR) held its second Paint Nite and last fundraiser of the year at Jimmy & Sooks in Cambridge, with the proceeds benefiting the Women’s Build project of Habitat for Humanity Choptank. Habitat for Humanity was selected by MSBR as the focal charity for the REALTOR Association for 2016 and Paint Night was one of many fundraisers that were held throughout the year. Forty-one men and women participated in the two-hour event where they were given step by step instructions for a pre-selected picture. “This is a fun and popular way to raise funds, bring attention to Habitat and enjoy a night out,” noted current MSBR President Martha Witte Suss. Women Build is a Habitat for Humanity program that empowers and engages women in learning construction skills, building homes, positively impacting our communities. This program brings together women from all walks of life and their many abilities, and is more than just swinging a hammer.
