Ed Sheeran's tour in trouble after opening acts drop out in solidarity with rapper Macklemore
SUMMARY: Four supporting acts have quit Ed Sheeran’s tour after Macklemore was removed for his pro-Palestinian comments onstage. Irish acts Aaron Rowe and Beoga, Denmark's Lukas Graham, and Finneas posted separately on social media Tuesday that they would withdraw from the tour. The posts appeared hours after Sheeran said he refused to be drawn into a discussion about the war in Gaza. Sheeran stated on Instagram that the decision to remove Macklemore was solely the tour promoter's. Macklemore says he was dropped after expressing support for Palestinians during a concert in New Jersey.

A fourth measles death is reported in Pennsylvania
SUMMARY: Pennsylvania officials are reporting a fourth measles-associated death. An 18-year-old from Mifflin County died from a severe neurological complication of the virus. None of the four who died were vaccinated. The U.S. is experiencing its worst measles year since 1991, with seven deaths in two years. Pennsylvania's outbreak includes nearly 700 illnesses across 38 counties. These are the first measles-associated deaths in the state in 35 years. Health officials emphasize the importance of the MMR vaccine to prevent outbreaks. International health officials will meet in November to assess the U.S. and Mexico's measles-free status.

Bobby Seale to reissue 'Seize the Time' and publish new memoir 'I, Bobby'
SUMMARY: Bobby Seale, co-founder of the Black Panther Party, is reissuing his 1970 memoir "Seize the Time" as he approaches his 90th birthday. He's also planning a new book, "I, Bobby," to be released in 2027. Seale says these works aim to correct misconceptions about his story and the movement. "Seize the Time" will be available in February with new introductions and formats. The Black Panthers were labeled a major threat by the FBI in the 1960s. The group subsequently faced decline due to internal and external pressures. Seale's upcoming book will address those issues and his personal journey.

Judge refers Philadelphia district attorney to federal prosecutors for investigation
SUMMARY: A federal judge has referred Philadelphia's district attorney to the U.S. Department of Justice for investigation into whether he broke the law while overseeing a post-conviction case. U.S. District Judge Paul S. Diamond disqualified Larry Krasner and Assistant DA Matthew Stiegler on Tuesday from participating in the case involving Dennis Johnson. Johnson is seeking to have his 2009 second-degree murder conviction overturned. Diamond recommended that the DOJ investigate whether Krasner committed any crimes, including perjury and obstruction of justice. Krasner said in a statement that he “respectfully and vigorously” disagrees with Diamond’s decision. Stiegler did not immediately respond to messages seeking comment.

Scenes from a colonial resurrection: First-person interpretations of history draw America 250 crowds
SUMMARY: America’s 250th birthday has been a banner year for the actors of Historic Philadelphia, Inc. who immerse visitors in Colonial history via first-person interpretations and true stories. They've received dozens of quirky requests that have delighted the masses both in person and in social media videos— waving the checkered flag at NASCAR races, firing t-shirt cannons from atop the Phillies' dugout and spreading the sermons of American history at concerts and dozens of other events. But the actors also feel an almost patriotic duty to tell the story of America's founding from the perspective of everyday people often left out of history books and sometimes disappearing from National Park sites.

Ravens drop K Jake Moody from the practice squad after Tyler Loop's solid performance in the opener
SUMMARY: The Baltimore Ravens have released kicker Jake Moody from the practice squad after Tyler Loop made field goals of 57 and 45 yards in a season-opening win over Indianapolis. Loop missed a kick at the end of last season, costing Baltimore a playoff spot. After he had a shaky 2026 preseason the Ravens brought in Moody. That competition is apparently over after Loop’s solid performance last weekend. Baltimore signed receiver Gage Larvadain to the practice squad after Zay Flowers and Ja’Kobi Lane both left with injuries in Sunday’s game. Larvadain caught seven passes for 71 yards last season for Cleveland.

Orioles pitcher Shane Baz leaves start after getting hit in arm by line drive against Mets
SUMMARY: Baltimore Orioles right-hander Shane Baz has left his start against the New York Mets after getting hit on his pitching arm by Bo Bichette’s 105.1 mph line drive in the fifth inning. X-rays were negative, Orioles manager Craig Albernaz said following his team’s 7-5 victory in 11 innings. The ball caromed off Baz’s upper arm and into shallow left field. Baz immediately crouched and shook the glove off his left hand before gripping his right arm. Albernaz and an athletic trainer came out to check on the 27-year-old starter, who tried to throw a warmup pitch but sailed it to the backstop. Baz immediately walked off the mound and into the dugout.
