CAMBRIDGE - Michael Tilghman Downey passed away peacefully, Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the UMSMC Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. He was born in Argentia, New Foundland Naval Base on August 23, 1954; son of the late Joseph Tilghman Downey and Joan Wright Downey. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Boyle Downey; daughter, Elizabeth Helen Downey both of Cambridge; sister, Kimberly Morgan of Chestertown; brother-in-law, Gerard Boyle and sister-in-law, Frances Strohmer, both of Cambridge; uncle, Buddy Yentz of Baltimore and aunt, Iris King of North Carolina. Also surviving are several cousins, nieces and nephews. Per Michael's request there will be no public service.
