EASTON - Mrs. Mary Margaret Harper Young died on November 26, 2016 at Chesapeake Woods in Cambridge. Known as Cissy to her family, she was born Feb. 13, 1936 at home in St. Michaels. She was the daughter of Ethel Harper Marshall and Harry Positera. As a young girl, she was raised in St. Michaels and graduated from St. Michaels High School in 1954, where she was on the basketball team and participated in after school clubs. During her lifetime, she worked at Noble Ford in Easton where she met her first husband, Joseph W. Everngam, Sr. She was also employed at Yale Sportswear, Waverly Press and the MVA, retiring in 2006 after 20 years of service. Cissy lived most of her life in Easton and in May of 2015, moved from St. Marks Village to Chesapeake Woods in Cambridge, due to a decline in her health. On Dec. 31, 1975, she married Phillip A. "Skip" Young, who passed away Nov. 20, 2005. They would have celebrated 30 years of marriage that Dec. 31st. An avid collector of carousel horses and porcelain dolls, in her spare time she also enjoyed visiting family in Pennsylvania, playing bingo, attending local festivals to listen to the music and joining her friends at the Amish Market, American Legion and VFW. Cissy is survived by four children, Beverly S. Hahn (Parke), Teresa A. Everngam, Mark W. Everngam (Tammy) and Bruce W. Everngam (Diane); two step-sons, Joseph W. Everngam, Jr. (Danette) and Phillip Daniel Young (Roxanne); three step-daughters, Sharon Cartwright, Cynda Rauch and Laurie Wisor (Dean); thirteen grandchildren, Courtney Hahn, Maggie Everngam, Tyler Everngam, Nicholas Everngam, Tessa Everngam, Angel Gray, Scott Gray, Jody Rauch, Kara Bish, Lindsay Aughinbaugh, Nolan Wisor, Taylor Wisor, Justin Rauch; four great-grandchildren, Walker Groves, Tyler Gray, Everlee and Xavier Aughinbaugh, her siblings, Gilbert Newnam (Ruth) and Barbara Burkhardt (Bruce) and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Regina Parrott in 2013; and son-in-law, Butch Cartwright in 2011. Services will be private. For online condolences, please visit
