WILMINGTON, Del. - Mary Evelyn Parker, 71, passed away on Nov. 17, 2006, at her residence.
She was born June 12, 1935, in Hurlock, daughter of the late Clemon and Mary Parker.
She was known as Winnie, Stuff and Mom. Mrs. Parker was employed 29 years at Dupont Hotel in Wilmington from where she retired in 1993.
She is survived by her daughter, Constance Diane and her husband, Selbe Hubbard of Millington; one granddaughter, Lakala Whaley and husband, DeAngelo of Millington; one grandson, Selbe Hubbard and his wife, Tracey of Hurlock; five great-grandchildren, Myron Adams Jr., Shelbe Hubbard, Admed Adams, Kai Hubbard and Kennedi Hubbard; one brother, William Parker of Wilmington; two sisters, Ethel Woolford of Hurlock and Alberta Brown of Melvin, Ark.
Funeral services will be held noon Saturday at Faith Community UM Church, East New Market. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery in Hurlock.
Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Bennie Smith Funeral Home in Hurlock, and from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the church.
