DELMAR - Mary A. Weed died Monday, May 28, 2018, in her sleep. Born in Watertown, Mass., she grew up in Newton, Mass. She proudly earned her G.E.D. in the mid-1990s, at the encouragement of her children and grandchildren. She worked for Boscov's for 15 years before she retired. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Harold L. Weed, Jr.; her parents, William F. Sullivan and Beatrice Remigio; a stepfather, Joseph A. Remigio; two sisters, Joan Terasi and Nancy Maloney; and her brother, William F. Sullivan, Jr. Surviving are her children, Annie Adkins and Doreen Campbell of Laurel, Tricia Johnson of Delmar, Harold L. Weed Jr. II of Delmar, Robert Weed of Milton, Bonnie Spadin of Princess Anne and Bernadette Lawson of Fruitland; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life was held on Monday, June 4, 2018, at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Interment was in St. Stephen's Cemetery in Delmar.
