CAMBRIDGE - Martin "Noodie" Jolley Jr., 83, passed away on Monday, Nov. 27, 2006, at Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge.
He was born June 3, 1923, the son of the late Martin Jolley Sr. and Rebecca Frazier Jolley.
He was a truck driver and a truck mechanic, retiring after many years of service at the Eastern Shore Rendering Plant.
Mr. Jolley is survived by a daughter, Marvel Rebecca Jolley of Cambridge; a grandson, Q"Vonte H. Murray of Cambridge; a brother, Louis A. Jolley Sr. and his wife, Catherine, of Hurlock; two daughters he considered his own, Jacqueline Thompson and Tykisha Camper, both of Cambridge, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by six siblings, Ella Mae Wheatley, Helen Wongus, Evelyn Johnson, Herman Jolley, Maurice Jolley and Thomas Jolley.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, at the Framptom Funeral Home, P.A,. in Federalsburg, with the Rev. Jerome Tilghman officiating. Burial will follow in East New Market Cemetery in East New Market. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon before the services.
