CAMBRIDGE — Willow Construction would like to congratulate and thank one of its team members, Project Manager Lt. Colonel Dave Marsden on his recent retirement from the military after his 28 years of service. He started his service career by joining the United States Air Force, where he served five years. Following his United States Air Force commitment, he enlisted in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, where he served 23 years, totaling 28 years of military service.
When asked what influenced him to serve his country, said, “I wanted to serve my country and follow in my Father’s footsteps who served in World War II. Plus, the idea of flying airplanes and seeing the world seemed like a no brainer.” When asked how he would describe his experiences in both the US Air Force and Pennsylvania Air National Guard he said, “Words cannot describe the fantastic experiences that I’ve had during my career. I’ve been to a lot of really fascinating places, and a lot of not so fun places, and met some extraordinary people along the way, some who have become lifelong friends. The people and the camaraderie are what I will miss the most.”
While serving his country, Lt. Col. Marsden has also been able to manage a magnitude of projects on behalf of Willow Construction. Most recently, he completed the new Perkins Family YMCA and Bay Hundred Senior Center in St. Michaels, Easton Marketplace, which is the new home to Five Below, Marshalls, and Ulta Beauty.
“Your efforts don’t go unrecognized and we are fortunate enough to have you as a part of our team,” a statement from Willow Construction said. “Thank you for your commitment not only to Willow but also to the United States of America.”
