CAMBRIDGE - Marion Virginia Pritchett, 91, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at Memorial Hospital in Easton.
She was born on May 17, 1915, to Hattie Anderson and Noah Thorpes of Farmington, Del. She was raised by Alice and Thomas Stanley from Salem.
Ms. Pritchett was educated in Hicksburg School. Before her health failed she was employed at Factory C and F in Cambridge. She was a member of Refuge Temple Church of God.
She is survived by four children: Irene Stanley and husband, Travers, Virginia Camper and husband, Pete, all of Cambridge, Ruth Cornish, Agnes Wilson and husband, Edwin, all of Washington, D.C.; 24 grandchildren, Cheryl Pritchett, Nedra Stanley, Travers Stanley Jr., April Stanley, Erica Jones and husband Jacoby, Jeneen Jolley and husband, Angelo, Sherry Thomas and husband, Lorenzo, Ronnie Youmens and wife, Ida, Ivy Ennels and wife, Harriett, Carolyn Youmens, Jeanette Pritchett, Russell Pritchett, Frederick Pritchett and Shirley Jones, all of Cambridge, Tracey Wilson, Rochelle Wilson, Edwin Wilson Jr., Tasha Cornish, Dawn Cornish, all of Washington, D.C., Gregory Walker and wife, Shirley, Charles Walker and wife, Debbie, all of New Brunswick, N.J., Regina Stanley, Stevie Stanley, Larry Stanley and Gary Stanley, all of Salisbury; 54 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four children, Henry Pritchett, Russell, Stanley, Shirley Dorsey and Glendola Pritchett; three grandchildren, Marla Cannon, Larry Pritchett and Russell Stanley Jr. and a daughter in-law, Madie Stanley.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, at Refuge Temple Church of God with the Rev. Cynthia D. Stanton officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Salem.
There will be a viewing two hours prior to the services.
Arrangements are being handled by Henry Funeral Home, P.A., in Cambridge.
