EASTON - Marian V. Schaech, 82, formerly of Pylesville, died April 21, 2007.
Mrs. Schaech was born on March 27, 1925, in Baltimore, daughter of the late John C. and Mary Businsky Vojik.
She married in 1946 and lived in Baltimore until 1960, moving to New Carrollton, where she continued to raise her family. Upon her husband's retirement in 1980, they moved to Pylesville, where they became active members of St. Mary's of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, including the craft group where she was a past chairman. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting and was a member of the Busy Bobbins.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, J. Albert Schaech Sr. in October, 2006.
Mrs. Schaech is survived by four children and their spouses, Mary Jo Papin and Greg of Cambridge, Marian Ann Brackna and Dave of Germantown, John A. Schaech Jr. and Elice of Lake Gaston, N.C., and Steve Schaech and Dawn of Galena; a brother, Lawrence Vojik of Baltimore and a sister, Mildred Nitka of DePere, Wis.; and four granddaughters, Anne Marie, Meghan, Kristin and Whitney Schaech.
Friends may call on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in Schimunek Funeral Home, 610 W. MacPhail Road, Bel Air. Wake service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's of the Assumption, 1021 St. Mary's Road, Pylesville. Burial in adjoining cemetery.
Memorials may be offered to the Talbot Hospice Foundation, 586 Cynwood Drive, Easton, MD. 21601.
