CAMBRIDGE - The Maple Elementary roar could be heard throughout a packed Cambridge McDonald’s during the recent McTeacher Night, a school fundraiser at which students could enjoy dinner with family and friends while their teachers and other staff work hard behind the counter.
For two hours, school staff assembled orders, delivered orders to customers, made sundaes and milkshakes, and operated the drive-thru, with a percentage of all sales going to benefit the school.
Ashley Eberspacher, school counselor, coordinated the popular event which raised over $500 for the school for PBIS incentives and other programs while bringing the Maple Lion community closer together.
Staff volunteering for the evening included Ms. Bettencourt, Ms. Drake, Ms. Nanos, Ms. Roberts, Ms. Rider, Ms. McNeil, Ms. Weglarz, Ms. Robinson, Ms. Day, Ms. Pritchett, Ms. Mills, and Ms. Trumbull. They were helped by Assistant Principal Jennifer Bissett, along with Dean of Students John Tomey.
