In this view, the band can be seen in formation, as the Jets’ cheerleaders file onto the field at bottom left. In front of the red-clad women are students holding Maple Elementary’s banner. Towards bottom right, if viewers look closely, they will spot a man in a khaki vest, a cameraman for NFL films.[/caption] The Maple Elementary School Marching Lions, under the guidance of Director Ray Washington, performed in MetLife Stadium for the New York Jets’ football game on Sunday. Last season, the children played at a Ravens’ game. The young musicians were on buses before dawn on Sunday, for the trip to Northern New Jersey, where the stadium is located. They are the only elementary school marching band in Maryland. The children were accompanied by many parent chaperones on the day-long adventure.
