Man charged with intent to distribute cocaine

CAMBRIDGE - On Monday, members of the Dorchester County Narcotics Task Force, which consists of members from the Maryland State Police, Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, Dorchester County State’s Attorney’s Office, Cambridge Police Department and the Hurlock Police Department executed a search and seizure warrant at 710 Greenwood Ave., Cambridge.

The target of the investigation, a 32-year-old man, was found inside the residence. The search revealed paraphernalia and 44.1 grams of cocaine, a report from Sheriff's Office said.

James Orville Elliott Jr. was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine and possession of paraphernalia.

The suspect was held without bond. The Maryland State Police, Easton Barrack, Cambridge Police and Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the case.
