PITTSVILLE - Lucille M. Jones died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, at Wicomico Nursing Home. Born in Dagsboro, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Violet Savage. She was Town Commissioner for Pittsville for 15 years and a poultry grower for more than 30 years. She is survived by children, Melissa Downin, Michelle White and Edward Jones; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Jane Chandlar; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Ernest "Jimmy" Jones; daughter, Denise Slaughter; and sister, Joyce Yoder. A funeral service was Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, at Bounds Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment was in Pittsville Cemetery.
