Louise E. Pinder, 88

CAMBRIDGE - "For it was you who formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful, are your works; that I know very well" (Psalm 139:13-14). Louise Elizabeth Woolford was born on April 24, 1921, to the late James and Mary Frances Woolford. Louise was educated in the public schools of Dorchester County. She joined the church at an early age. Later she became a member of Waters United Methodist Church in Fork Neck where she diligently served as a Communion Steward and a member of the Usher Board for many years. She truly loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, her family members, community of friends and her church family. She had a quiet, gentle, beautiful and loving spirit. She thoroughly enjoyed the Pinder-Woolford Family Reunion and Pinder's Day. She embraced God's beauty in all areas of her life. On July 22, 1937, she was united in marriage to the late Herman Henry Pinder Sr. From this union, one daughter and nine sons were born. God gently closed her loving eyes and whispered "Peace Be Thine." Louise E. Pinder answered the call of God on May 15, 2009, as she departed this life and entered the realm of heaven. She was 88 years old. "For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." (2 Timothy 4:6-7). Louise was preceded in death by her late husband, Herman H. Pinder, Sr.; her beloved daughter, Gertrude Pinder Stanley and beloved son, James Bernard Pinder; nine brothers, George, Leonard, Harvey, Vincent, Silas, John, Thomas, Levin and Charles Woolford; and one sister, Bertha Woolford Pinkett. Her loving memories will be cherished by her eight sons and four daughters-in-law, Charles (Rosetta), Clarksville, Tenn., Floyd (Ruth) and Herman, Jr., (Dottie), Columbia, Alfredy (Rosemary), Tampa, Fla., Lawrence (Vienna, Md.), Maurice and William (Atlanta, Ga.) and Michael (Baltimore); a grandson, reared as a son, Byron (Baltimore); a sister, Margaret Molock (Washington, D.C.); a devoted sister in-law, Josephine Woolford (Church Creek); a special niece, Gladys (Randall) Mason (Atlanta, Ga.); a special friend, Bessie Jones (Salisbury); 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at Waters UM Church Fork Neck with a viewing Friday evening 6-8 p.m. at Henry Funeral Home, PA 510 Washington St., Cambridge. Interment in Fork Neck Cemetery. Condolences sent to www.henryfuneralhomepa.com.
