Louis Chew, 83

CRISFIELD - Lois M. Chew, 83, of Annemessex Ridge near Crisfield, died on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield. Born on Jan. 20, 1926, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Harlen Semler and Lillian Minor Semler. She was a retired Administrative Assistant for Nationwide Insurance. Her husband, William B. "Bill" Chew, died on Feb. 23, 1996. She was a member of the former Chesapeake Chapter # 28 Order of the Eastern Star in Crisfield. Surviving are two sons, William H. Chew (Linda) of Pasadena, and Barry C. Chew (Marguerite) of Crisfield; three grandchildren, Brian A. Chew (Tonya) of Pasadena, Barry "Rocky" Chew, Jr., and Buffy Lyn Chew, both of Crisfield; and eight great-grandchildren, Blair Lyn Hancock, Lauren Nicole Chew, Bridget Louise Hancock, Brenden Chew, Bradley Chew, Amber Chew, Ashley Chew, and Brooke Lillian Hancock. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 8, at the Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Robert Daniels will officiate. Entombment will be in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 209C Milford St., Salisbury, MD 21804 Arrangements are in the care of Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home.
