Lois Laverne 'BB' Stinson
CAMBRIDGE - Lois Laverne "BB" Stinson passed away at her home in Cambridge on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008. She was born June 3, 1953, in Cambridge, daughter of the late Leon Washington Johnson and Elois Stinson Martin. BB received her education from the Dorchester County Public School System. She graduated from Cambridge High School, class of 1971. BB was employed at Airpax for 14 years until she became ill. Her hobbies included traveling, putting large puzzles together and spending time with her family and friends. BB was a loving, kind and generous person, who always thought of others. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Stinson. BB is survived by her loving and devoted mother, Elois Martin; stepfather, Joseph Martin; her loving and devoted grandmother, Bernice Cornish, all of Cambridge; three sisters, Patricia Stinson Hughes (Marvin) of Hurlock, Joanne Chase, and Patricia Camper Lee, both of Cambridge; two brothers, Leon Camper of Baltimore, and Raymond Chase of Atlanta, Ga.; a godson, Jamal Pinder of Cambridge; two aunts, Bernice Johnson Pinkett of Cambridge, and Norma Lee Johnson Young of New Brunswick, N.J.; two uncles, Emerson Johnson of Cambridge, and Edward Johnson of New Brunswick, N.J.; two great aunts, Elizabeth McCready of Cambridge, and Rhoda Rose of Baltimore; a great-uncle, Frederick Matthews of Baltimore; a close friend, Sharon Pinder; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A special thanks to Larry Nichols and Hospice Care of Salisbury. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Waugh Chapel United Methodist Church, 425 High St., Cambridge.
