Linda Louise Hand McGee

SHARPTOWN - Linda Louise Hand McGee died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William Ellis Hand and Sara Sheppard Hand.
She graduated as Salutatorian from the Stephen Decatur High School Class of 1961. She attended the Maryland Institute College of Fine Arts, where she received her bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Throughout her life, she worked as a local artist. She was a member of the Wheatley Methodist Church in Galestown.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Oliver Douglas McGee of Sharptown; a daughter, Sarah M. Cooper of Hurlock; two grandchildren; a brother, William E. Hand Jr. of Ocean Pines; and three nieces.
A funeral service was held Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church in Sharptown. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
