MD-Lighthouse Foundation presents plaque_2x

Members of the board of the Cambridge Lighthouse Foundation recently presented a plaque to Leonard Foxwell, a board member of the Pauline F. and W. David Robbins Charitable Foundation. The foundation was a major supporter for the construction of the Miss Polly, the launch boat installed at the Choptank River Lighthouse this year. The boat is named after Pauline Robbins, sister of Mr. Foxwell. The plaque he received reproduces a Chesapeake Bay magazine article about the construction of the boat. From left are George Wright, board co-president; Leonard Foxwell; Kathi Bambrick, Choptank River Lighthouse executive director; and Greg Whitten, board co-president. The lighthouse is open for free, self-guided tours daily through Oct. 31. From Nov. 1 — Apr. 30, open for tours by appointment at 410-463-2653.
